| Announcement: Voobly presents WE ARE THE WORLD: TOURNAMENT FOR CS/DM/RM |

As it appears the news that a great number of tournaments are being held in the AoC world have travelled far and not to be outdone, Voobly have decided to hold one of their own in an effort to combine all game types RM/DM/CS into one. We Are The World: A Client Wide Voobly Tournament FOR CS/DM/RM seems quite regular at first sight, yet appearances can be deceptive and in this case they certainly are.
After taking a proper look at the rules we learn that this 2v2 event is going to take place on one day only (although there is a possibility of extending the tournament if necessary) and be played with one map: =V= Europe Random.scx. Whilst its filetype may discourage some RM experts, the Europe map in fact unfolds in a very similar way to standard RM maps – the only problem might turn out to be the fairness (or rather unfairness) caused by random positioning of the players, however since the map has been updated especially for this occasion so that all players can only be placed on mainland, the randomiser should not put anyone at a considerable disadvantage. Furthermore, there is going to be a time limit of 1 hour and 30 minutes so that the single elimination play-off may proceed smoothly. The winners will be awarded points (75 for the winner, 60 for 2nd place, 50 for 3rd and 40, 30, 25, 15, 10 for 4th - 8th place) as well as Gold and Silver Voobly Membership lasting 6 months (only for 1st to 3rd place).
To say that this tournament is far from the usual would be a rank understatement, then again its dissimilarity with the other ones might work to its advantage as long as the players consider it a new challenge.

If you have the feeling that there has recently been a considerable proliferation of new tournaments in AoC, today's news will only consolidate your belief. It has been barely a few days since introducing the 1st Gemini Cup and here we are again, with yet another tournament, this time however, hosted by Age of Kings Heaven.
AoKH Open is open for 128 individuals who will play in single elimination until the winner arises. The first rounds will be played in best of 3 format but once there are only 8 players left, they will be required to overpower their opponents 3 times before advancing on, playing in best of 5. Until the deadline April 16th, anyone has a chance to sign up, irrespective of nationality or rating, as long as they have played online before.
The tournament will also include attractive prizes for the champion and runner-up, which might very well lure in some of the top players. Still, AoC is not only for the best of the best, so if you are dubious about signing-up, remember that it is primarily about having fun.

Since the Legion Clan's new policy forbids BCC 3 participants to post results of the matches so as to preserve the thrill of suspense believed to considerably enhance the experience of watching records, we have decided to refrain from mentioning the result of the match in the headline so that those wishing to remain in the dark do not accidentally run into a spoiler.
